WHAT IS A TRACster?

Pronunciation: 'tr[ac]-str
: a member of the Tennessee River Athletic Club (TRAC) who is twelve years old or under and may choose to participate in club events for youth and children.
If you want to become a TRACster...   

Do This:
  • Become a Shoals TRAC member--$6 Student, $15 Family
  • Walk, Jog, or Run 3 or more of the listed Events
  • Be 12 or under at the conclusion of the season
  • Fill out and send in the Registration Form (PDF format)
  • Have Parent Approval
And Get This:
  • TRACsters T-Shirt (in your size!)
  • Training Log to record all your running experiences
  • Recognition & Awards at the Grand Prix Banquet
  • Worldwide Admiration

Race Schedule
The 9 Grand Prix Events all have a 1-Mile Race:
  • Riverhill - 3/20/10
  • Swampers - 4/24/10
  • Jeff Dropo Run for Kids- 5/8/10
  • Helen Keller - 6/26/10
  • St. Jude - 7/9/10
  • W.C. Handy - 7/17/10
  • Sunset - 8/6/10
  • Killen Founder's Day - 8/21/10
  • Riverbottom Burnout - 10/16/10
  • Pumpkin Run - 10/24/09

Awards
  • Champion Level - completion of 7 events
  • Gold Level - completion of 6 events
  • Silver Level - completion of 5 events
  • Bronze Level - completion of 4 events
  • Participant Level - completion of 3 events

A wild card race would be available in case a race had to be missed due to sickness, vacation etc. Official results would need to be provided to TRAC with the participant’s information to be counted.Five (5) days of XC Camp could be used as a wild card event.

If a youth chooses to complete the 5K or longer distance during the nine events this will be counted. Example: A 10-year old completes the Swampers 5K instead of the 1-mile Swampers fun run.
